Antipolo still wins my heart and stomach over every time. The Jungalow invited us in for refuge, Loreland entertained us and these restaurants nurtured us.

Vieux Chalet|

How does a Swiss restaurant come to exist in the mountains of Antipolo? Love, thats how. A love for family, for home and for food is why the Hassig family established Viuex Chalet in their relaxed haven away from the city. In their own words,

"In 1984 Mr. Tony S. Hassig and Mrs. Susan R. Hassig opened their home to people in search of an adventure not too faraway from their own homes. The dream was to put up something that offers an alternative lifestyle to those needing a break from the hustle and bustle of the city. "

The food at Vieux Chalet is so consistently good I never tire of visiting Antipolo and the traffic is worth it time and time again. All the meats and pastas are made in houes as well!

Marisons|

Marison's is unsuspecting but paks some serious ganern. The sweet mother and son duo spoke with us about how Marison's came to be. The family wanted to bring a social dining experience to Antipolo instead of driving to Quezon City or Makati for graduations, birthdays and other celebrations. Marision's offers just that, a delectable social dining experience. Using local kasoy in their kare kare and a twist on suman you have to put this on your list. The crowd pleaser is the fried kesong puti. I am telling you right now, you want at least two orders of these bad boys. I could not get enough!

14 Four Cafe|

I finally got my butt to 14 Four Cafe after almost two years! 14 Four Cafe is the mecca of brunch locations. Really, you don't need to go anywhere else just become a regular here. There is ambiance, art, outdoors and the best part: delicious food! Located just a few minutes from lower Antipolo you won't regret your choice.

Another favorite should you find an open evening in Antipolo, or even worthy of it's own trip is Tahanan Bistro. Antipolo you really did nourish the body and the soul. Salamat po!
