Next stop on the epic road trip was Laoag City. We spent only one afternoon in Laoag City. With more time and research we would have definitely explored more.

For dinner and entertainment we spent an evening at La Tabacalera Ilocano Lifestyle Center. I am indebted to the kind person on IG who recommended Tacos Del Norte. The price was right, ambience and set up were on par and the food was almost dead on to Mexican street food. The only change I would make is the cheese. I think this may only be a problem for those who are accustomed to American Mexican food. :)

These fountains proved hours of entertainment, late into the night.

We missed the Ilocos Norte Museum by one hour. Just looking at their website is adding a little sting to this missed opportunity. I hope we make it back sometime.

I loved the street views up north. It has so much soul and culture.

The Laoag Sinking Bell Tower is a fascinating structure. It is quite literally sinking. I am amazed at how preserved it is. I wish the city or local government would do more for it's accessibility and add historical and cultural information drawing visitors in. It is open and on a busy street corner with no parking. I think the Sinking Bell Tower has SO much to offer. I wish there was a tour, or informational signs.

We drove by The Williams Cathedral but the boys had all fallen asleep in the car. I assume the inside is spectacular because the outside of the structure seemed new and updated, which doesn't especially draw me in when there is a bell tower from 1612 in its original form 85 meters away.

Again, I wish we had more time in Laoag. I really do! If you have recommendations please email me or leave in the comments below. Salamat po!
