The Future Park, Century City Makati

"Play is our brain's favorite way of learning." Diane Ackerman Makati and I have a strange relationship. Our journey in Manila started in The Fort, after that we called Makati home for a few years before moving out to our current home in Pasig. Her traffic is horrible but there is obviously a lot going on there, it is MAKATI, after all.  The payoff has to be pretty massive to get my butt out there. I am happy to report that The Future Park is well worth it, even on a Friday. Gasp. Plus, let's not forget about Hole In The Wall. Can I get a whoot whoot?!    "Future Park is the first pop-up digital interactive play exhibit in the country located at Century City Mall." The Future Park

*Our Paoay trip found here.

The staff at Future Park is very well trained to guide and interact with children. They learned my children's names and engaged so positively.

Sketch City was most popular with the boys. Sketch City is an interactive community that allows kids to color a page and then have it added to a moving picture. We colored over 22 pictures and spent over an hours time.

Magic Sand Mapping was so simple with such a brilliant idea. As you build and scale with the magic sand the light meter above changes the colors of light to reflect a map showing mountains, grass, water, low land etc. so fascinating!  Room Racers allows for large scale gaming with physical play as well. You control the race cars while others try and crate obstacles with soft toys, bats or swat at the cars with swatters.    Social Circle is a game for those who aren't afraid to invade others personal space. Kidding. When you enter the circle you take on that color and try and get other colors in your ring from other players circles. Too be honest I didn't really get it but the kids seemed to like it.  Gravity Balls is a very simple and innovative activity for all ages. It takes shadow play to the next level.

Lastly, for those who get overwhelmed or missed a nap, there is amicus wall.
