Starry Night, Holiday Eats and Activities
I love how much The Philippines loves Christmas. They love it so much they start prepping in Septemeber, October, November and then finally culminating in December. I usually don't start playing Christmas music until after Thanksgiving, the day after to be exact. We even put our tree up in November this year! Keeping up with the festivities of the 'Ber months we participated in a tree lighting ceremony at Discovery Suites Ortigas. The best part, they have a full on gingerbread choo choo train with kids can play in, it even has a horn. If you have train lover like I do, they will be in heaven!
We celebrated Christmas at home in Manila a bit early this year as we depart for a short holiday visit to The U.S. I didn't want to prepare a big meal the day before a long trip but I still wanted the night to feel special so I made reservations online for 22 Prime. We had eaten here before during a visit and Starry Night tree lighting so I knew the food would be excellent and the staff even better. I was right! The night was perfect and they spoiled our little guys again. They even had my middle sons favorite prepared for him, galunggong and rice. I was checking out the price list for their prepared meals you can bring home for a holiday feast and starting at just 4,800php it's good for 10-12 people and includes a whole turkey! I think this is the way to go.
My little Pinoy boy loves his gg and rice.
