A Pinoy Easter Setting

I love the endless summer and sunshine of the Philippines. It often causes me to lose track of what month or season it is, besides hot and hotter, but I really do love our endless climate of warmth. To note the calendar changes I use holidays as indicators of progress through the year. I love house decor and I love a good theme so holidays are the way to go for me. I had fun playing around with fun local pieces that friends have sent me over the last few weeks and months to dress up our table for a Pinoy Easter setting. The Philippines really does have some of the best handicrafts around!

The canary yellow Abel table runner is from AbelPh and is the perfect base for a light colored and light hearted meal. I have a thing for ceramic egg dishes (I have 3!) because I think they are the chicest granny home item one can own. The first ceramic egg dish I ever bought years ago was from the ladies of The Scenique Daily when they were still under their old name, La Boqueria Lifestyle. They revamped recently and sent me over this happy egg dish, perfect timing for Easter. The eggs inside the dish are a piece of my ceramic egg collection I acquired over 2 years worth of visits to the American Women’s Club of the Philippines monthly bazaar. You can check their schedule here.

And now for the showstopper, my personal favorite detail, ceramic jeepney salt shakers from local love Liwayway. Liwayway sent me a beautiful package at Christmas and it was honestly my favorite gift I received the holiday season. I am a sucker for Filipino prints, textiles and handicrafts and they fused all the elements together with their melamine plate collection + rattan chargers. I never tire of looking at these beauties.

The flower petal cupcake liners I found recently on a random visit to Pioneer Center Market (that place is a serious treasure trove! Like, for real!) I had seen them earlier in the week at another grocery store for 250php and they were only 89php at Pioneer, sulit!

The children plate set from Liwayway make me so very happy. My kids can learn manners and Filipino language that a conversation spurred by a plate made happen during eating time. Win win win!

The Philippines has so much to offer. Find something that interests and search search search! I promise you can find something that connects you to Manila if you seek it. I am grateful for inspiring Filipinos who create or curate beauty and share it with others. There is so much to love here.

Happy Easter!

Kita Kits,
