It’s been a long ‘for awhile’ diba? Well, Covid19 hit and turned life completely sideways. You can read more on my Instagram, but I wanted to make a proper goodbye here as well.

This sweet ole blog has been with me for five beautiful years. I am so grateful for the outlet I had to write and share and even crazier, is that people like you read it. MARAMING SALAMAT PO. THANK YOU! Writing this blog created the greatest community I have had in life so far, I don’t say that lightly. Living in Manila feels like a dream life. I never understood the feeling of individuals always chasing after something until I left Manila. It feels like a space in time I’ll forever be chasing. Pilipinas kong mahal.

Thank you to the readership of this blog, you dear people who made my life better with your tenderness and encouragement. Even you haters who wrote me really nasty emails, thank you! It caused great introspection and knocked me down but gave me the opportunity to get back up again and hopefully be better.

It’s the end of an era. Having no active online presence has been something I’ve hungered for privately for a long time. I enjoyed talking about place-attachment, my love for Manila and sharing the beauty around us but it came time where I felt that I had shared that part of myself/voice and it was good enough. Not sure if ubos na fits correctly but some sort of meaning of the phrase. There are other voices out there now, needing a platform more than I and I give them all of my encouragement.

Manila and dear readers, I love you foreverrrr! Proud Pasigueña porebur! May we love where we live and make our corner of the world a better place.
