Sea Life at Legoland Malaysia
Last October we went on a magical family trip to Legoland Resort Malaysia. One of the #perksofpinas is actually being in a region where travel can be affordable. We’re just a short flight from Malaysia and we seized the opportunity for a memorable family trip. I am super happy to have partnered with Legoland Malaysia for a serious of posts that share all my insider tips and tricks to maximize your own trip to Legoland Malaysia. Enjoy!
Sea Life at Legoland Malaysia is a must! During our visit two years ago the aquarium was under construction and we were so happy to be able to visit it this trip. The admission price point is affordable (16$USD) and makes it definitely worth a visit.
How to maximize your visit to Sea Life Legoland Malaysia:
Become a Sea Life Ranger|
The highlight of our visit the US each summer is completing a badge or two through the Junior Ranger Program. I love when national parks and museums offer interactive guides to enrich the child’s experience. The Sea Life Ranger packets are so cheap (around $3 USD) and come with a lanyard, trading cards, pencil and information packet to be included through the visit.
Feel the textures of coastal friends in RoCk pools|
At the exhibit titled, Shoaling Ring, you can actually feel some of the sea creatures, including a star fish. Sinks are conveniently settled nearby for easy access to wash hands before and after. Don’t forget to pick up your Sea Life Ranger trading cards!
Say “Hi” to seahorse friends|
The seahorse exhibit was by far my favorite exhibit. There are a number of viewing sites to see a number of seahorses and varieties. I could have stayed in this area my whole visit. Again, don’t forget to pick up a trading card at this stop as well!
Amazing creations|
The kids love this area as they can see their creation come to life! We have experienced a few of the draw+scan exhibits and the boys never tire of seeing their drawings on the big screen. This part isn’t my favorite but the kids really love it.
Creature Feature|
Throughout the exhibits you’ll have thrilling opportunities to interact with the amazing creatures of Sea Life. Many of the exhibits are accompanied with touch screens to help deepen the experience by learning about each animal. The jellyfish screen is accompanied with a switch button so you can explore how jellyfish radiate with different color backdrops.
Ocean Tunnel|
With a 180 degree view of the ocean tunnel our family was mesmerized for a lengthy period of time. You can see a dozen different animals, including a small Black Tip Reef Shark and a huge Maori Wrasse.
Special Features|
During our visit in October we were fortunate to be there during Bricktakular festivities. Sea Life hid 10 ghosts through out all of their exhibits to find and be rewarded with a rare brick at the end. Look for ongoing special features and festivities during your visit.
