Pilipino Library: Tiny Universe
Manila can be intense and intimidating but if you let her show you her soft side, you’ll marvel at her offerings.
One of the gifts of Manila is being exposed to magnificent artists. Wiji Lacsamana is a well known artist, specifically water color tattoo artist, but she’s also a gifted illustrator and writer. I have written previously about Wiji and Chinggay Labaradora’s book, Zeke And The Pirates, it’s a delightful read.
Today I am excited to share about Wiji’s new book, Tiny Universe.
Tiny Universe is the most beautiful and poetic book in the galaxy. I wept the first time I read through its whimsical pages. Tiny Universe offers peace and introspection in a lovely and unique way, both approachable for children and adults alike. Have a look at the pages, you’ll be invited into the wonderland. I encourage you to buy your own copy and visit it frequently to reconnect with the tiny universe within you and all of us.
I am grateful for creatives in Manila who chase their passions and share their gifts. I have already sent my first copy of Tiny Universe to a friend in the States because I can’t keep this beautiful work of art to myself. Thanks Manila, you enlighten me always. I love you forever.
