A Year Of Workshops

Well 2019, you were full. This year my intention was to make AMA more personal so I launched a series of workshops with my colleague, Aurora M. Suarez. We facilitated our own brand of workshops, At Home In Manila, At Home With Yourself, In Love With Your City with All Home Dept Store and a global chapter of the women’s organization, Empowering Perspectives. I also enjoyed facilitating a place-attachment + journal workshop with Nica Cosio at Feel Good. Speaking engagements this year were also a new adventure for me and one that I thoroughly enjoyed.

I was forced to grow this year and one of those ways was in knowing my limits. Self marketing isn’t easy and used up a lot of my energy and self confidence. I will be scaling back on workshops but not completely. You can stay up to date with my calendar and sign up for events that way.

Lianne of Photography By Lianne, gave me a gift with her photos. Seeing the work in photos allowed me to see myself as a professional. These photos are so validating. I encourage you to have photos taken of the work you do, even the most mundane can be seen in a new light through the lens of another. She does fantastic family photos, like our Star Wars and Intramuros family photo shoot, but she also does season specials. Check them out.

One of the funnest parts of every workshop is getting to hand out the swag bag at the end. Using my social media platform to amplify the voices of local entrepreneurs is my absolute favorite. Often times as foreigners in a new city day to day tasks can be daunting, it’s so nice to receive a bag of goodies to be exposed to the local offerings.

A HUGE maraming salamat po to my workshop partners and sponsors this year.

coconut sugar from Coco Natura, healthy staples from 7 Grains Pantry, Happy Helpers discount card + soap, Bare MNL hand sanitizer (they make the best diffusers), pocket wipes by Sanicare Ph, coconut water from Kajuayan, colorful tote by Bibsisita and #PerksOfPinas custom tote by Cumulus ph and a special thank you to Abel Philippines for generously giving for every single one of my workshops and events the whole year!

I am so grateful for all the learnings 2019 brought me and for the wisdom I get to take with me into 2020.

Kita Kita,

Amber
