Scoot Editorial + Honest Answers About Traveling With Kids
Magandang Umaga Monday!
I used to write and share pretty regularly about traveling with small children but as my kids have grown older our travels are less frequent. We still travel but instead of 6-8 trips a year its more like 4-5. With kids moving on to big school our local road trips have sadly been shrunk as well. I am so grateful we’ve been able to live here for so long and travel how we did for all those years. Living in the Philippines has been such a gift.

Recently, I was fortunate to be interviewed and featured for a small editorial for Scoot’s inflight magazine. I was hesitant because my answer aren’t sugar coated, they’re honest and full of my lived experience. Pinterest has conditioned us that the smokin’ hot mommy blogger really has ‘5 Tips & Tricks for an effortless 32 hour flight with 3 children under 5 and no one pees their pants or barfs - not even super hot mommy blogger.’ That’s bogus and not the real world but it is often what people want from the internet, quick tips for a long lasting solution.
My voice isn’t always shared how I would like it to be. Integrity of my voice is one of the most important elements of the work I do online and in-person so I was extremely grateful to the editor, Kat Z Mateo, for letting my honesty shine through.
I hope you enjoy reading a short and honest editorial on traveling with small children. I wouldn’t trade my motherhood here in the Philippines for anything in the world.
