Where-To-Next, Locally Made Travel Journal
It’s really incredible to me the love young creative Filipinos have for their country and the Where-To-Next journal is a testament that speaks volumes to this empowering community.
Where-To-Next|
I received WTN journal as a Christmas gift from a very thoughtful and kind neighbor. Knowing of my love for the Philippines and locally crafted items I found myself with this delightful journal. The WTN journal stands out among locally crafted items because of its thoughtfulness and quality. The WTN journal stands out as a very well executed travel journal and a Philippine prized possession. I am continually impressed each time I revisit it’s pages.
I had no idea how impressed I would be with the journal until I finally sat down and gave it a good look. The journal is so well made with soft leather and extremely thoughtful prompts. The focus of the travel journal is to propagate a love for what we have locally. By being mindful we come to appreciate more deeply our local surroundings and culture. Traveling is a very hip thing to do as of the moment but I see this WTN journal as the antithesis of Instagram-fast-travel trend. The prompts and stories reflect a deeper motivation to travel and see the country in which we reside. It puts us on equal grounds with our destination, not just as a tourist but as a way to sink deeper into the experience and also give back.
WTN isn’t just about cataloguing travels but offers a deeper sharing. An opportunity is left open on blank pages so the traveler can share their inner travels as well but also stories and personal anecdotes are peppered throughout the pages by the editors and creators of WTN. The connection doesn’t just happen on the paper but an online and in person community for WTN travelers is growing and tight knit.
I appreciate the focus on the Philippines so very much. The world is vast but the Philippines is so unique, why not expat the mind and life experiences right here, right na.
Pilipinas, you inspire so many! Not just me but young and creative Filipinos as well. I am extremely grateful for the spirit of ingenuity which is uniquely Filipino. Where-To-Next is a perfect display of that spirit. Happy Travels!
