Settling In: Filipino Decor In A Southern Oregon Mid-Century Modern Home
We are back and I have some fun posts lined up but one of them that I am most excited to share our Settling In post about how to decorate your home with Filipino decor items, wether you are in the Philippines or abroad.
During my recent visit to Arizona and Washington state I hopped down for a day to see one of my dearest friends in Southern Oregon. Being the insanely dedicated friend she is, Ashley ditched her kids for a week and came to visit me in Manila last April. We had fun spending a short time at the beach, eating our way through Manila but our highlight was the all the marketing (shopping). The markets in Manila are hard to beat and Ashley has impeccable taste and a keen eye. She took a balikbayan box home of baskets and other goodies. During my recent visit I was able to see how Ashley incorporated her Pinoy finds in her home. I was drooling as I saw the Pinoy accent pieces perfectly compliment her Southern Oregon Mid-Century Modern home.

Thanks for sharing your home with us Ashley. What a treat to see pieces of the Philippines in an American home. May this inspire us to remember that we can always find what we're looking for, sometimes it is just a matter of perspective. And remember, Manila has everythaaang!
